CARVING
The Wood is carved by a
grinding and polishing process, with the
purpose of giving a centain way, it can a concrete or abstract object, to
procuce a sculpture, it can be ranged from individual to worked by hand molds
that are part of a tracery.
It is a very old activity and widespread, some of the best subsisting examples of ancient Wood carvings come from the middle age in Italy and Frace, were Christian Icomography.

component, which must be taken into account, so that the raw material responds
to the efforts of carver and achieves the desired result.
The tools for the Wood carving are:
Gouges, chisels, mototool, pyrographer, scalpel, brushes, finishes of different
colors, Wood lacquer, Wood sanding.
PROCESS
WOOD CARVING
1. I choose the design
for wood carving.
2. Then i start get
rin of the wood surrounding my design.
3. I will begin to
shape my carving with gouges and chisels.
4. With mototool i
give a touch of wood to finish shaping the design.
5. I sanded and
finally painted it with patina diluted in thinner.
